HOW DID BREAKOUT START?
COVID-19 was identified in Wuhan,China,in december in 2019.
Symptoms of COVID-19 are cough, fever, headache, fatigue, loss of smell and taste and breathing difficulties. Symptoms may begin seven to fourteen days after exposure to the virus. People with the same infection may have different symptoms, and their symptoms may change over time. Three common clusters of symptoms have been identified: one respiratory symptom cluster with cough, sputum, shortness of breath, and fever; a musculoskeletal symptom cluster with muscle and joint pain, headache, and fatigue; a cluster of digestive symptoms with abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea. When COVID-19 started hospitals were full and doctors couldn't go home, they were up all night helping sick patients but lots of them lost their fight and died. The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a dramatic loss of human life worldwide and presents an unprecedented challenge to public health, food systems and the world of work. Millions of enterprises face an existential threat. Nearly half of the world’s 3.3 billion global workforce are at risk of losing their livelihoods. Informal economy workers are particularly vulnerable because the majority lack social protection and access to quality health care and have lost access to productive assets. Without the means to earn an income during lockdowns, many are unable to feed themselves and their families. For most, no income means no food, or, at best, less food and less nutritious food. |
